Dutton Social Care & Nursing are working in partnership with a growing organisation who have just opened a service for 12 people with complex needs, mental health, physical disabilities, neurological disorders and behaviours that challenge. The service is made up of 12 lovely self-contained and purpose-built apartments with communal areas which all clients can access. The service is new and currently supports 4 clients and they are looking for an experienced nurse to join their team. As the nurse on duty you will be responsible for running the shift, co-ordinating care and support calls, dealing with any emergencies, updating support plans, administrating medication and addressing any clinical nursing issues. When the service is full you will end up over seeing roughly 22 support staff but at the moment the is roughly 8 staff on duty. You will be supported by the clinical lead nurse and the registered manager and also have back up from an on call manager outside of core hours.
You will be an experienced nurse - RGN/RMN/RNLD and be confident enough to run a small team to coordinate support across the service. Hours of work can be 24/36/42/ 48 and they will consider people to do 6 hr shifts if they prefer. standard hours are 8-8.
